I wonder which response is appropriate:

1. It's a Slappy book, Troy, what did you expect?

2. It's got a holographic picture of a three-headed monster on the cover, Troy, what did you expect?

3. It's a Goosebumps book, Troy, what did you expect?

I thought it was obvious that the next book reviewed is Animorphs[1]

I wonder if Troy could get this blog published as a book. You could probably get a decent audience since '90s nostalgia is coming back.

I would love to rejigger these posts into a funnier book-length guide, but not until someone pays me to do so. Publishers, get at me &c

Ha! Sick burn!

Troy, please come back with your updates. The world is a darker, less snarky place without them.

Fashion faux pas alert: Never share whine after Labor Day![2]

Notes[edit | edit source]

  1. Many wiki entries plagiarized Steele's writing back-in-the-day. Here's an example.
  2. It would be over a year before Troy completed the crazy thing.

References[edit | edit source]

  1. A sci-fi series for kids. Like Goosebumps, it was a long-running 90s book series published by Scholastic.
  2. A reference to the saying, "Don't wear white after Labor Day." (Basically a warning not to wear bougie clothing around a holiday centered on the working class.) Troy references it here because Labor Day would have been only 2 days prior.
