  1. MySpace was a popular social media website in the 2000s. It fell out of popularity as Facebook grew to popularity. (Now, neither one is popular with the kids! Just goes to show that future-proofing anything online is a losing battle.)
  2. Makeoutclub was an early social media site dating back to the 90s. (Supposedly, it mostly appealed to indieheads, so of course Troy knew about it.) While it's not particularly well known anymore, it served as a template for many social media sites to follow.
